If you have children active in school sports or
activities, chances are you are going to be cheering them on an auditorium or playing field. The pressure put on kids to play his
or her best, along with achieving high grades in academics, is
intense. Make sure your child is properly fueled for the challenge,
including food and drink.
On the playing field, or during activities, encourage water intake,
or water and Gatorade for high intensity sports. Dehydration and
failure to replenish electrolytes will cause kids to become warn
out. Supply your child with ample water and/or sports drinks for
refueling during the game. Don’t count on the coaches or school to
provide these things. Also, consider sending your child to school
with 2 nutritious meals (including beverages) if he or she is
involved in sports or after school activities. If your child
purchases his or her lunch educate your child as to wise food
purchases. Encourage a quality protein source with each meal such as
eggs, beef, or chicken. Also, encourage fresh fruit and vegetables
with each meal. Discourage refined carbohydrates and sugars being
the foundation of each meal such as pizza and soda.
Kids want to think they are invincible. But they
can exhibit symptoms of hypoglycemia such as
irritability, weakness, inability to focus when
he or she hasn’t eaten in a few hours.

There is no known cure for arthritis.
Prolotherapy and nutritional
supplements can help alleviate, reverse, or end arthritic pain by
treating an underlying cause that contributes to degenerative disease,
ligament laxity. Strengthening ligaments and other connective tissue can
help prevent bone on bone arthritis from developing.
