Most sports involve quite a bit of jarring of
the head and neck. Any excessive rotation of the
cervical vertebrae has the potential to affect
the sympathetic nervous system outflow from the
ganglion.
The vertebral instability or malalignment occurs
because the
ligaments
that support the neck
become injured. This is what occurs in the
commonly known whiplash injury. Not only do neck
and
headache pain occur with whiplash injury,
but also the signs and symptoms of
Barre-Lieou Syndrome.
A Non-Drug, Non-Surgical Treatment
Option-Prolotherapy
Research by Daniel Kayfetz, M.D.
Daniel Kayfetz, M.D., reported treating 189
patients from March 1956 through May 1961, with
Prolotherapy, who had whiplash injuries to their
necks. Fifty-two percent had associated
sympathetic nervous system symptoms as seen in
Barre-Lieou Syndrome, 55 percent of the people
had symptoms longer than three months, 81
percent had symptoms and injuries in other parts
of the body in addition to the neck, and 49
percent had some kind of legal action because of
an auto accident they were involved in (79
percent were involved in auto accidents). By all
practical purposes these were not simple cases
of neck strain, yet Prolotherapy totally
eliminated the pain in 60 percent of the
patients, and 86 percent of the patients
considered the end result to be satisfactory (in
other words they had pain relief with the
Prolotherapy).9
Prolotherapy is a treatment that stimulates that
body to heal the painful area. This is the best
definition of Prolotherapy. Read it again,
changed just slightly. Prolotherapy is a
treatment that stimulates the body to repair the
painful areas.

There is no known cure for arthritis.
Prolotherapy and nutritional
supplements can help alleviate, reverse, or end arthritic pain by
treating an underlying cause that contributes to degenerative disease,
ligament laxity. Strengthening ligaments and other connective tissue can
help prevent bone on bone arthritis from developing.
